Dan Hurley Re-signs with Connecticut University for 6 years and 69.2 billion won, ‘Rejecting LA Lakers Coach’

Coach Dan Hurley, who led the University of Connecticut to the top of the U.S. college basketball, renewed his contract for $50 million (about 69.2 billion won) for six years.

The Associated Press reported on the 9th (Korea Standard Time) that Hurley re-signed with the University of Connecticut a month after rejecting the NBA’s LA Lakers’ offer to head coach.

Coach Hurley, who put Connecticut at the top of the college basketball Division 1 for the second consecutive year in May, may lead the team through the 2029-2030 season and earn additional income through performance-based incentives.

The university explained that Hurley will receive $6.375 million next season alone, including bonuses from lectures and consulting, in addition to his annual base salary of $400,000.

Hurley went 141-58 in six seasons at the University of Connecticut. The Lakers reportedly offered $70 million over six years to acquire Hurley last month. 파워볼사이트
