The planned $400 million Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Bristol facility began Wednesday following repeated announcements by well-known casino operator Hard Rock International. Hard Rock International and the Bristol community celebrated the start of construction of the permanent casino, which is scheduled to open in 2024, at 500 Gate City Highway.
The celebrations included a symbolic shoveling of hard rock representatives and community leaders.
As announced, the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol facility spreads over approximately 300,000 square feet and features 1,300 slots, 50 table games, 25,000 square feet of sportsbooks, and 50 retail and signature restaurants such as the Hard Rock Cafe and luxury restaurant Council Oak Steak. The operator noted that the facility will also include convention centers, hard rock live entertainment venues, and rock shops. 슬롯머신
Jon Lucas, COO at Hard Rock International, said, “From the outset, the economic and community impact of the property has exceeded expectations, and we’re excited to reveal what’s coming next. We are especially grateful to our local partners, Jim McGlothlin and Clyde Stacy, who made all this possible.”
The project is expected to create about 900-1,000 construction jobs. When permanent locations begin in 2024, casinos are expected to create 1,200 full-time and part-time jobs. In the long run, Hard Rock Hotels and Casino Bristol could employ 5,200 people by the end of the next decade, adding about $1 billion to the local economy.
“This is an exciting day for Bristol,” said Ali Evangelista, president of Hard Rock Hotels & Casinos Bristol. “Our makeshift casino has been a huge success, and we’ve already welcomed guests from 50 states. Our incredible team members with kind smiles and can-do attitudes are the foundation for this success.”
