The South Korean bowling youth team won the mixed four-man team event on the final day of the International Bowling Federation (IBF) 2024 World Youth Championships in An Bang, South Korea.
The Korean mixed team, comprised of Choi Jae-hoon (Suwon Youth), Lee Da-eun (Daegok Go), Kim Sung-tak and Kim Bo-ah (Sangsang Korea Gymnastics University), defeated Sweden 2-1 in the final match of the tournament at the Fiesta Asiad Bowling Center in Incheon on Monday.
The Koreans won the first round 248-192 against the Swedish mixed team of Maya Enberg, Nora Johansson, Carl Eklund and Robin Ilhamar.
They dropped the second round, 201-236, but rebounded to win the final round, 267-219, to take the gold medal.
It was the first gold medal for South Korea at the tournament.
Previously, Korea had only won bronze in the men’s individual event, Kang Ye-young (Dankook University) and Lee Da-eun (Dankook University) in the women’s doubles event, and the team of Cho Yong-hoon (Deokjeong High School), Kim Sung-tak (Deokjeong High School), and Cho Yong-hoon (Cheonan City Hall) in the team event.
The mixed quadruple team event concluded the day’s competition at the event, which kicked off on Tuesday.
More than 400 athletes and officials from 39 countries around the world, including 16 from Asia, two from Africa, 14 from Europe and seven from the Americas, participated in the tournament. 안전한 파워볼사이트
