LeBron James Re-signs 2-Year 144.1 Billion With Los Angeles Lakers

U.S. sports media ESPN and The Athletic reported on the 3rd (local time) that “James has agreed to remain with the Lakers on the condition that it includes a trade rejection clause for $104 million (about 144.19 billion won) for two years.” This is a slight increase from the salary of $51.4 million scheduled for the 2024-2025 season.

The media added that James’ salary could be lowered through additional negotiations because the contract has not been finalized. It is a small amount for James, but the Lakers will likely have difficulty strengthening their capability as they have to pay a wealth tax due to excess salary cap. The Lakers recently failed to sign a contract with Clay Thompson. Thompson signed a three-year, $50 million contract with the Dallas Mavericks.

Meanwhile, his son Bronny James, who will play for the same team, signed a four-year contract worth 7.9 million U.S. dollars. Local media assessed the conditions to be a rare condition for a player who was drafted in the second round of the NBA’s rookie draft. 메이저놀이터
