Seidel continues his amazing performance with the NBC Head-Up title

Erik Seidel won the 7th National Head-Up Foker Championship, hosted by GoDaddy.com (GoDaddy.com ), the world’s leading web hosting provider and largest domain name registrar, in the Caesars Palace Poker Tournament Room, beating the best 63 poker fields.

Seidel beat Chris Moneymaker in the best-of-three final to win and $750,000 in first place from $500,000 at last year’s event. Moneymaker won second place with $300,000, an increase of $50,000 from last year, after purchases for invitees were raised from $20,000 to $25,000. The NHPC is being recorded to air on NBC over six consecutive Sundays, from April 17 to noon to 1 p.m. ET.

“I’ve been in the NHPC since 2005 and lost to Annie Duke in the final of last year’s tournament, so my win today is really special,” Erik Seidel said. “It’s always exciting to compete with fellow poker players who have shown great skills on the table this year.”

On his way to the final table, Seidel beat several top poker players, including five-time WSOP bracelet winner Allen Cunningham and two-time WSOP bracelet winner Jennifer Harman. He showed off the moneymaker’s bravado with three 5s on the final hand of the second game, giving him the 2011 National Head-Up Poker Championship. 에볼루션 바카라사이트

The singles elimination event began on Friday, March 4 and lasted until Sunday, March 6, with the best-of-three championship decider determining Seidel’s win.

The National Head-Up Poker Championship features 64 top poker players competing in a series of head-ups to determine the world’s best head-up poker players. The tournament has a unique single qualifying, bracket-style format modeled after the college basketball championship tournament, except that the final is a two-of-three victory.
