Reading Lanceria, a federally recognized tribe, has been trying to relocate its Win-River casino to a new location for years. Earlier this week, the effort made major strides as Reading Lanceria won approval to transfer ownership to a new location.
As announced by the KRCR, the federally recognized tribe has been approved by the Ministry of Interior (DOI) for the transfer of casino properties to areas along Highway 5. 슬롯사이트 순위
The official approval allows Reading Lanceria to relocate the Win-River Casino to tribal-owned land with federal trust status. The historic approval allows the land to be used for gaming purposes. More importantly, the decision by the Ministry of Education puts an end to nearly two decades of efforts.
Despite the Education Ministry’s permission, Reading Lanceria has yet to confirm when it can start construction. This is because the project has faced objections before. It is unclear whether local groups opposed to the project will be able to challenge the recent decision.
The historical approval from the DOI came after an extensive review of the tribe’s proposed casino relocation plan. Experts from the organization conducted an analysis of the social, environmental, and economic impacts of the casino, which is expected to be relocated to a location along Highway 5.
Tribes Delighted to Finally Get Casino Relocation Approval
Reading Lanceria thanked the Ministry of Education for its dedication and efforts that resulted in approving the relocation of the win-win casino. In addition, the tribe wrote, “We also thank the key congressional representatives, the state of California, especially the governor’s office and members of Congress, Shasta County, Shasta Lake City, and the many tribal nations that supported us in the process.”
