Bae Hye-yoon led her team to victory with a triple-double.
The Yongin Samsung Life Blooms defeated the Incheon Shinhan Bank Esbuds 63-58 in the Woori Bank Woori WON 2023-2024 Women’s Professional Basketball Regular Season at Yongin Gymnasium on February 2.
The win keeps Samsung Life 온라인카지노 in third place with an 11-12 record.
Bae “BaeCap” Hye-yoon recorded a triple-double with 10 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists in 35 minutes and 12 seconds. In fact, it was her second consecutive double-double after her last one against the KB Stars.
“We lost to Shinhan Bank twice in a row this season, so we came out today with the mindset that we can’t lose three times, and I’m glad we won,” Bae said of the victory.
When asked about missing out on a triple-double, she said, “A triple-double is something I can’t do without the help of my players. They’re so good at making it happen that when I’m passing and they’re making it, I’m thinking to myself, ‘I’m making that hard one.’ I’m grateful to them, and even though I didn’t get the record, I’m still happy that the team won.”
Including today’s win, Samsung Life remains in third place with 11 wins and 12 losses. It’s not a five-way tie, but it’s still a relatively favorable position for a playoff spot. But Bae isn’t reassured.
“Even though we’re in third place, I don’t think it’s a stable situation. Hana OneQ and Shinhan Bank are still fighting for a playoff spot, and we can’t be sure either. That’s why the players are not talking about the playoffs at all, just the next game. It would be nice to be in the POs, but it seems like it’s still a long way off, so we’re trying to stay on our toes.”
“We have a lot of injuries right now, so we’re short-handed, and that’s why we’ve had some ups and downs, and we know we shouldn’t be. As soon as the injured players return and the ups and downs are reduced, the team will be more stable.”
