Fertita Interactive, co-owned by the family who founded online gaming giants Full Tilt Poker and Station Casino, has partnered to run an internet poker website once the activity is approved by the federal government.
Tom Braitling, who co-owns Pertita Interactive with brothers Frank Pertita III, Lorenzo Pertita and his longtime business partner Tim Foster, said the agreement only covers potential federal legislation for internet poker. 안전놀이터 추천
Breitling said in an email that the partnership is being discussed in Nevada’s legislature and supports a federal bill rather than Congressional Bill 258, which gives the state the power to legalize internet poker. Rival online game company PokerStars is backing the bill.
“We believe that federal law on online poker is the way to go,” Breitling said. “We believe that a federal online poker bill would be good for Nevada. Nevada is a leader in game regulation, and we need thousands of high-paying tech jobs and millions of tax revenues when it comes to online poker.”
FullTilt Poker and Fertita Interactive will jointly operate an online poker site once federal legislation is passed and appropriate gaming licenses are obtained under the agreement, which is expected to be officially announced on Thursday.
“The agreement with Fultilet is confidential, but it depends on the passage of federal law regulating internet poker,” Brightling said.
Pultildt and Pertita Interactive will work to pass federal internet gaming legislation, he added. If an online poker site is created, it will not partner with Station Casino.
FullTilt runs an online poker room. It is licensed as Alderney, a British royal dependency group. The Alderney Gaming Commission recently announced an information sharing agreement with the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
Brightling and Foster were the early founders of Travelscape.com . The Pertita brothers invested in the venture, which was sold to Expedia. Brightling and Foster bought the Golden Nugget Casino from MGM Mirage in 2004, and sold it to Landris Inc in 2005.
The Pertita brothers are the majority shareholders of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, which could be part of a cross-marketing effort with the proposed internet poker site.
