Doosan won 4 consecutive games and narrowed the gap against 5th place SSG to 1 game. 

SSG, who lost two games in a row, fell from 4th to 5th. 

SSG starter Elias pitched perfectly in 8 innings without allowing any runs, allowing 5 hits, 1 walk, 1 walk, and 4 strikeouts, but was unable to score a win.

Seo Jin-yong’s wild pitch resulted in a 2-2 tie. Then, Heo Gyeong-min aimed for Seo Jin-yong’s third pitch forkball and ended the game with a goodbye hit to left-center.

Samsung starter Won Tae-in earned his 7th win of the season with 6 hits (1 home run), 2 walks, 6 strikeouts, and 4 runs (3 earned) in 6 innings. KT starter Bae Seong-seong suffered his 8th loss of the season with 2 hits, 5 walks, 4 strikeouts, and 3 runs in 4 innings. 

Samsung Kang Min-ho achieved 3,300 bases for the 10th time in the KBO League.

Samsung led 3-2 with two outs in the bottom of the fifth inning, then scored three runs on Min-ho Kang’s double over the right fielder, Pirella’s double, and Ryu Ji-hyuk’s timely hit to right to run away with a 6-2 lead.

 KT chased down Jang Seong-woo’s two-run shot at 4-6 in the top of the 6th inning. 

Samsung decided the game in the bottom of the 8th inning with a big inning that scored 4 runs thanks to timely hits by Kim Hyun-jun and Kim Seong-yoon and a sacrifice fly by Kang Min-ho.
