Klinsmann’s 4-0 win over Tunisia is a bittersweet night out

Klinsmann’s men were rewarded with a sweet night out after crushing Tunisia at home.

South Korea’s national soccer team, led by Jürgen Klinsmann, cruised to a 4-0 victory over Tunisia in their first October A match at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on Wednesday.

Lee Kang-in (Paris Saint-Germain-PSG) led the way for South Korea with a multi-goal performance, scoring his debut goal in the match and setting up the opponent’s own goal.

Second-half substitute Hwang Eui-jo (Norwich City) drove a wedge with his side’s fourth goal in stoppage time.

After going winless in his first five games in charge with three draws and two defeats, Klinsmann’s side recorded a 1-0 victory over Saudi Arabia in Europe last month to register their first back-to-back wins in A-match action against Tunisia.

They are unbeaten in their last four A matches (2 wins, 2 draws), starting with a 1-1 draw against El Salvador on June 20.

It was also the first time since Klinsmann’s arrival that the team has won by more than two goals.

The Taeguk Warriors will enjoy a one-night stand after the match against Tunisia.

The players will have a day off on Saturday and rejoin the national team on Sunday morning.

After defeating Tunisia, the Klinsmanns will play their second match against Vietnam at 8 p.m. on Sunday at the Suwon World Cup Stadium.

The team, which arrived at the National Training Center (NFC) in Paju on Sept. 9, will move to Suwon to prepare for the match against Vietnam.

Vietnam is ranked 95th by the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), just a few places below Korea.

In the all-time head-to-head record, Korea leads the series 24-17 with 5 wins, 5 draws and 2 losses.

The match against Vietnam will serve as a test for 안전놀이터 the team in preparation for the upcoming World Cup second round qualifiers in November and the Asian Cup against weaker teams that will play tight defense.
