MGM seeks to block FTC’s 2023 cyberattack probe over lawsuit

MGM Resorts International, a leading gaming and entertainment company, fell victim to a group of hackers. The actions of the suspicious “Stacked Spider” group caused chaos in the company’s operations for about a week. 메이저 토토사이트

The regional impact has been linked to the absence and inconvenience of amenities made for MGM customers. But the bigger impact, combined with MGM’s $100 million drop in revenue in the third quarter of 2023, was about $10 million in one-time costs.

In light of a cyberattack on the company, in January, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) filed a Civilian Investigation Request (CID), requesting data and documents related to the incident. In addition to the related data, the CID requested additional information that was not linked in any way to the cyberattack. Later, in February, MGM attempted to destroy the CID, claiming that the request was invalid.

In the most recent chapter of the historical drama between the FTC and MGM, the game operator decided to take the matter to court and filed a complaint against the committee and its chairman, Lina Khan, for declaration and order relief.
