ON OCTOBER 7, THE BUSAN PADDLEBOARD OPEN WILL BEGIN AT GWANGALLI BEACH

The 2023 Association of Paddlesurfing Professionals (APP) World Tour Busan Paddleboard Open will kick off on October 7 at Gwangalli Beach in Busan, South Korea. This year’s edition of the Busan Paddleboard Open, held for the second time since last September, will feature this season’s men’s world No. 1 Conor Baxter (USA), last year’s Busan Paddleboard Open winner Rai Taguchi (JPN), and other Korean athletes such as Choi Ji-won and Han Sung-ho .A prize fund of 25,000 euros (about $35 million) is up for grabs in the professional competition, while amateurs will compete in 3- and 6-kilometer races for each age group .Paddleboarding is a water sport that involves paddling on different types of boards .On the evening of Oct. 7, the first day of the competition, there will be a drone show, followed by a beach party on Oct. 8, an exotic dog competition and beach yoga on Oct. 9. There will also be an academy program with Baxter and Taguchi on Oct. 6, the day before the opening ceremony.
