Robertson dislocates shoulder against Spain during A-League

Liverpool’s key resource Andy Robertson suffered an injury during the A-match.

Scotland lost 0-2 to Spain at 3:45 a.m. ET on June 13 at the Estadio Olimpico de la Cartuja in Seville, Spain, in the seventh round of UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying. The result leaves Scotland in first place in the group with 5-1-1 (15 points) and Spain in second place with 4-1-1 (12 points).

The game turned in the second half, with Alvaro Morata heading home a cross from the right by Jesus Navas in the 28th minute.

Spain drove a wedge into the game. In the 41st minute, Scotland defender Aaron Hickey slipped and fell as he tried to collect the ball in the back area. It was quickly intercepted by Joselu, who sent a cross into the box. In the midst of a scramble, Oian Sancet slotted it home. In the end, the game ended with Spain winning 2-0.

Robertson, who started the game, leapt high to collect a ball that Hickey sent in from behind in the 41st minute. In the process, he collided with Spain goalkeeper Unai Simon.

The impact was worse than expected. Goalkeeper Simone contested Robertson’s shot and fell through the air, landing on Robertson’s right shoulder. Robertson went down immediately and complained of pain in his right shoulder.

He received first aid and was carted off the field. Robertson was subbed off with his shoulder temporarily supported by his jersey. “We’ll see, he’ll go straight back to the club (Liverpool),” said head coach Steve Clarke after the game, confirming that he will not play in the upcoming match against France.

For now, the team is taking a wait-and-see approach. “We’ll see how it goes and how it’s resolved,” Clarke said. “We’ll see how it goes and resolves itself and hopefully he’ll be back with his club as soon as possible and ready to help us in November.

Robertson’s injury is a major setback for Liverpool. The Reds are one of the favorites to win the league title this season. The Reds have five wins, two 토토사이트 draws, and one loss in their first eight games of the season (17 points) and are three points behind league leaders Tottenham Hotspur.

However, the team has lost one of its key resources, Robertson, to injury and will be out for some time. “Robertson is expected to miss the friendly against France and is also likely to miss the Merseyside derby against Everton on November 21,” the BBC reported.
