Suwon FC increased its share from the beginning and developed aggressively, but it was repeatedly cut off by Gangwon’s tackle. In the 9th minute of the first half, Suwon FC gave up a free kick to Gangwon from a long distance, and Kim Dae-won’s sharp shot slightly missed the goalpost and swept off his chest. Suwon FC gave up the first goal in a situation where it was rarely solved. In the 20th minute of the first half, Kang To-ji jumped on a cross from Kim Dae-won in a corner kick situation and scored a header goal.

Suwon FC then sought opportunities by increasing its market share, but rarely broke through Gangwon’s defensive wall.

Despite Gangwon’s fierce attack, Suwon FC sought to turn the tables with counterattacks from time to time. Oh In-pyo’s strong shot in the extra time was blocked by Yoo Kwang-hyun’s land-based defense. Suwon FC scored a dramatic come-from-behind goal in the ensuing corner kick opportunity. Yoon Bit-garam scored the winning goal by accurately inserting a corner kick from the right side of Lee Young-jae with one minute left before the end of the game.
