Two Korean Fighters in the Finals of the Road FC Global Tournament

The end of the tournament in which fighters representing countries such as Korea, Japan, Russia, Brazil, Kyrgyzstan, and Cameroon have been competing for a prize worth millions of dollars is approaching.

Road FC will host Goobne ROAD FC 066, the final match of the Road FC Global Tournament, at the Wonju Chiak Gymnasium on October 29th at 2pm.

The Road FC Global Tournament has been held since last June in two weight classes: bantamweight (-63kg) and lightweight (-70kg). 

In the bantamweight finals, ‘Asia’s Strongest’ Kim Soo-cheol (31, Road FC Wonju) and former ‘Gladiator Champion’ Akira Haraguchi (28, BRAVE GYM), and in the lightweight finals, ‘Korean naturalized fighter’ Nandin Erden (Korean name Kim In-seong, 36, Namyangju Team Finish) and MFP No. 1 Artur Soloviev (29, MFP).

Kim Soo-cheol and Nandin Erden’s advancement to the finals is even more valuable because they defeated prominent competitors in the quarterfinals and semifinals.

In the quarterfinals, Kim Soo-cheol knocked out Alexey Indenko (34, MFP), the number one ranked bantamweight in Russia, with a guillotine choke in 55 seconds of the first round.

 In the semifinals, he defeated Bruno Azevedo (33, PHUKET FIGHT CLUB) by unanimous decision. Bruno Azevedo’s record at the time was 19 wins and 3 losses, so he was an opponent that everyone avoided.

Kim Soo-cheol, who has defeated numerous strong players, is enduring rigorous training to win the Road FC Global Tournament.

“I’m so glad Inseong is doing well. Have you seen it since you were an amateur? 10 years ago… It’s been up here since then. 

“I’m so glad it shows how great a man who doesn’t give up is,” said Kim Soo-cheol, expressing his feelings about Nandin Erden.

In the quarterfinals, Nandin Erden knocked out Philippe Jejus (31, PHUKET FIGHT CLUB) by pounding in 1 minute and 43 seconds of the first round, and in the semifinals

he defeated Japanese group Shuto Pacific Rim champion Shutaro Devana (38, COBRA KAI). ) by TKO by pounding at 4 minutes and 33 seconds in the first round.

Martial arts fans have high expectations for Kim Soo-cheol and Nandin Erden as they have defeated strong players. 

Attention is focused on whether both fighters representing Korea will be able to achieve victory.
