Huck Seed Wins Head Up Championship

Huck Sid won the 2009 National Poker Tournament Room at Caesars Palace by winning the elite division of the top 63 poker championship, hosted by GoDaddy.com . Sid beat Vanessa Russo in the best-of-three final to win the championship and take home the $500,000 top prize from a team that boasts more than 100 World Series bracelets.

“It’s always been one of my favorite events of the year,” said Sid, who participated in all the Head-Up events and won the prize. “I played well in the past, but I was able to run all the way to the top, especially this weekend.” 메이저 토토사이트

Sid advanced to the final after defeating Jonathan Little, Gus Hansen, Glenn Connie David Oppenheim, and Sam Paha, while Russo defeated poker giants Doyle Brunson, Phil Ivy, Paul Wasica, Daniel Negriano, and Bertrand Grosspellier in the final pair. Sid grabbed the first two games in the best-of-three final, as the king of his offshoot/the seven players in his last hand were enough to win.

For her runner-up, Rousseau, who was recently signed as a spokesperson for GoDaddy.com , finished off her best run as a female competitor in the Heads-Up tournament. Shannon Elizabeth reached the semifinals in 2007.

“Huck Sid demonstrated his incredible skill by defeating the best group of participants we have ever had,” said John Miller, NBC Sports’ vice president. “We had a fantastic race. The response to this year’s event has been incredible, and we look forward to many more years of this prestigious event.”

The celebrity contestants, led by Don Cheadle and Brad Garrett, made some fuss at the tournament, getting angry once again over poker’s best players. Garrett advanced to the second round after beating poker pro and celebrity apprentice Annie Duke, and Don Cheadle reached the second day of the tournament after beating David Pam.
