South Korea wins invitational EOU Cup in Seoul, beats Vietnam 2-0

The South Korea Under-18 National Team has won the Seoul EOU Cup 2023 international youth soccer tournament.

The Koreans defeated Vietnam 2-0 on the final day of the tournament at Mokdong Sports Complex in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul on Friday.

After defeating Ukraine 4-2 in the first round on Oct. 10 and drawing 1-1 with Morocco on Dec. 12, South Korea added three points against Vietnam to finish the tournament with two wins and one draw for a total of seven points, the most among the four participating nations.

The Seoul EOU Cup was held for the first time this year, co-hosted by the Seoul Football Association and the Korea Sports Agents Association, and organized by the Seoul Sports Council and the Sports Agents Association.

The U-18 national teams of Korea, Ukraine, Vietnam, and Morocco participated in the tournament, which was held in a full league to determine the winner.

On the day, Korea defeated Vietnam with back-to-back goals from Kim Do-yoon (Suwon FC U-18) in the 10th minute of the second half and Jin Jun-seo (Gwacheon Go) in the 21st minute of the second half to complete an undefeated championship.

Ukraine, which edged Morocco 4-3 in the final to improve to 2-1-1 (6 points), finished second, followed by Morocco (1W, 1D, 1L – 4 points) and Vietnam (3W, 0 points).

The tournament’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) went to South Korean midfielder Jung Maho (Shin Pyeong-go). 슬롯사이트
